Policy Statement
The KingsGate School Board will promote professional development aligned with the Professional Growth Cycle and the common goals identified by KingsGate School. The process will involve identifying, evaluating, and developing the Professional Growth Cycle for staff at KingsGate School, so that organisational goals and objectives are more effectively achieved, while simultaneously supporting employees in recognition, feedback, addressing work needs, and offering development opportunities. Staff appraisals will occur in accordance with the requirements of the Teaching Council of Aotearoa/New Zealand.

Purpose
To foster student achievement, develop school culture and community, and hold staff accountable to the requirements of the profession as outlined in Our Code, Our Standards https://teachingcouncil.nz/professional-practice/our-code-our-standards/.
