Policy Statement
The Presiding Member of KingsGate School safeguards the integrity of the School Board’s processes and represents the School Board to the broader community. The Presiding Member ensures that each trustee has a full and fair opportunity to be heard and understood by the other members of the School Board, so that a collective opinion can be developed and a School Board decision reached. The School Board’s ability to meet its obligations and the plans and targets it has set are enhanced by the Presiding Member's leadership and guidance. In the absence of the Presiding Member, the School Board delegates responsibility to the Deputy Presiding Member to fulfil this function and role.

To ensure the proper functioning of the School Board and board processes.
