Policy Statement
The KingsGate School Board is committed to ensuring that all new staff receive an appropriate induction and ongoing support and guidance, enabling them to contribute to the School's mission, vision, and values. They will ensure the School has systems to support beginning teachers, teachers new to New Zealand and teachers new to the School. The School Board aims to empower and support staff in living out the School's values, achieving our mission, and contributing to our vision. The School Board delegates all responsibility for staff induction to the Principal, who may further delegate it as required.
Purpose
Staff induction forms an integral part of the school performance management processes, and all new staff must be provided with the necessary information so they can become an active part of the school community. As a good employer, the School Board aims to promote high levels of staff performance to ensure that all new employees become familiar with the school's systems and processes, thereby ensuring continuity of learning, school values, vision, and objectives as outlined in our school Charter.
