Policy Statement
The School Board delegates responsibility to the principal for all matters relating to the management of staff, expecting them to be managed in a sound, fair, and respectful manner, in accordance with the current terms of employment documents and identified good practices.  

General
Staff Procedures are available to all staff in “The All Staff Drive” and are updated frequently as required—the drive outlines expected procedures and good practices applicable to all staff employed at KingsGate School. 

Legislative
▶All teaching staff will be subject to the most recent Area Schools’ Collective Agreement contract. 
▶All support staff will be subject to the most recent Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement or School Caretakers and Cleaners Collective Agreement. 
▶Staff can belong to their respective union or be placed on an individual employment contract.  
▶All staff will receive an updated contract reflecting any changes to their job function, title, or remuneration.
▶All “Offer of Appointment” letters and employment contracts must be signed by the Principal.
