The Kauri Learning Space is where young people begin the journey of discovering who God has created them to be and how they can use their gifts to serve Him and others. As students move through Years 7–13, they are challenged to think deeply, grow in wisdom, and develop the knowledge, character, and faith needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
At KingsGate School, we believe that all truth is God's truth. Through every subject area, students are encouraged to explore God's creation, understand His purposes, and recognise His hand in the world around them. Our teaching intentionally integrates a Christian worldview, helping students see how faith connects to science, mathematics, literature, history, the arts, technology, and everyday life. We seek to equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with the discernment to view the world through the lens of Scripture.
As students mature, they are given increasing opportunities to lead, serve, and take responsibility for their learning and their community. Through Christian Living, discipleship, service opportunities, assemblies, worship, camps, and authentic learning experiences, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ and live out their faith with conviction and courage.
The Kauri tree was chosen as the symbol for this learning space because it is one of New Zealand's most iconic and magnificent trees. Growing to great heights and standing strong for centuries, the Kauri represents strength, maturity, resilience, and enduring purpose. Just as the Kauri develops from a small seed into a towering tree, our students are growing into the men and women God has called them to be—deeply rooted in faith, strong in character, and prepared to make a positive impact on the world around them.
Our prayer is that every Kauri student will leave KingsGate School knowing Christ, loving others, and serving faithfully, equipped to fulfil their God-given calling and purpose.
