MR STEIN - PRINCIPAL & RELEASE TEACHER
Mr Stein is our school's principal. He is in the office 5 days a week but likes to do his work at the coal face too so you'll see him teaching in Room 5 on most Wednesday afternoons and Room 2 on most Friday middle blocks. He is a keen servant-leader and is always looking at ways to develop the strengths in others and of others within a framework of Christian care and faithful obedience.
MR CLARK - YEARS 7 & 8 TEACHER
Mr Clark is the other half to the Room 5 senior classroom teaching staff. Mr Clark teaches two days a week. He is responsible for delivering the Mathematics and the Arts curriculum. On a personal note he is a a keen runner and passionate about delivering a unique brand of Christian education to the kids here at KingsGate School.
MRS FARLEY - NEW ENTRANTS & YEAR 1
Mrs Farley has taught many generations of Christian students here at KingsGate and continues to provide the sound foundations of learning on which all our students rely. To this day she continues to weave a beautiful Christian worldview into her curriculum delivery, making the world come alive for those new to Christian schooling.
MRS LABUSCHAGNE - YEAR 2
Mrs Labuschange is a most wonderful Christian teacher who has a real and obvious passion for guiding the youngest in our school. Originally from South Africa, Mrs L. brings a wonderful synthesis of cultures to our classrooms and staff-room. Her faith in Christ is always evident in her relationship with class and parents.
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL, SENCO & YEARS 3 & 4
Miss Tetley - Jones is our school's deputy principal and SENCO. Alongside the daily tasks that these role requires she also helps run a vibrant and joyful middle-school class alongside Mrs Filer. Her own personal Christian character and that of the school's are always intelligently intertwined in the delivery of the NZ curriculum within her classroom.
MS GINA YELCHICH - YEARS 5 & 6
Ms Yelchich is an experienced teacher and and has walked in the Christian faith for many years, as she still does joyfully to day. She brings that experience from both these walks of life into the classroom and models lifelong learning as an educator and follower of Christ to her students.
MRS WOODHAM - ADMINISTRATOR
Mrs Woodham is perhaps best considered the beating heart of our school. Although always a busy lady in her duties she embraces our servant leadership identity and is always willing and happy to serve others. If you're new to the school, Mrs Woodham will often be your first port of call.
MRS HART - TEACHER AIDE, ESOL
Mrs Hart is a talented teacher aide whose skills are used across the school. Her main roles are to assist Miss T-J in Room 4 and to develop our ESOL students confidence in English. Mrs Hart brings a kind and caring Christian nature into her daily working life and all her relationships throughout the school.
MRS HARDACKER - TEACHER AIDE
Mrs Hardacker is a dutiful servant of Christ bringing a wonderful sense of servant-hood into her work as a teacher aide. Mrs Hardacker works with students assigned to her throughout the school and applies patience, peace, respect and Christian love to all those under her care. She has a passion for teaching and begins her transition from teacher aide to teacher in the near future!
MRS TWIST - TEACHER AIDE
Mrs Twist's years of experience as a Christian classroom teacher and as an RTLB provider continue to enhance the services we provide our students here at KinsgGate. Mrs Twist dutifully serves students assigned to her with Christlike care and compassion.
MRS MURRAY - TEACHER AIDE
Mrs Murray is an experienced teacher aide who blessed us with the decision to join us this year. Her talents are used across the school, with Room 1 often benefiting from her experience as a devoted Christian educator. She is also skilled at one-on-one interventions with students of particular needs.
MRS BRAKS - CLASSROOM RELEASE TEACHER
This year Mrs Braks has taken on the important role as our Classroom Release Teacher or CRT. This means that she will spend at least 2 days per term in each classroom so that teachers can have time to plan, report and extend their professional knowledge at courses. Mrs Braks will be focusing on Te Reo Maori on her release days in class.
