Purpose
KingsGate School acknowledges parents, caregivers, and whānau as key partners in their children's education.
The school will actively consult with and engage its community in decision-making processes that impact students' learning, well-being, and school culture.
Communication with parents and whānau will be clear, timely, and accessible, utilising multiple platforms to reach all members of the school community.
The school will ensure that consultation processes uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and support the diverse cultural backgrounds within its community.

KingsGate School will engage with parents, whānau, and the broader community through:
Regular updates via newsletters, email, school website, and social media.
Parent-teacher meetings, whānau hui, and community forums to provide input into school decision-making.
Surveys and feedback mechanisms to ensure parent and community voices are heard.
Culturally responsive engagement that respects the needs of Māori, Pacific, and other diverse communities.
Opportunities for direct participation in school governance and leadership through the Board of Trustees and other advisory groups.
