Te Kura

Te Kura provides a flexible learning pathway for students whose educational needs are best served beyond the traditional classroom. Working in partnership with Te Kura, KingsGate supports students to access personalised learning programmes while remaining connected to our Christian school community. Whether through subject-specific study, timetable flexibility, learning support, or individual circumstances, Te Kura enables students to continue making meaningful academic progress while being nurtured spiritually, pastorally, and socially. Our goal is to ensure every student is equipped to succeed, grow in confidence, and fulfil their God-given potential through a learning pathway tailored to their unique needs.

How Te Kura is Delivered at KingsGate.
At KingsGate School, Te Kura is more than online learning. If a student is enrolled with Te Kura and accesses learning through the My Te Kura platform, KingsGate also supports them with an E-Tutor during timetabled lessons.

An eTutor provides guidance and supervision during class, helping students stay on track with their learning, understand their coursework, meet assessment deadlines, and access support when needed. The eTutor encourages students to develop independence while ensuring they remain connected to the wider KingsGate learning community.

This partnership between Te Kura and KingsGate School combines the flexibility of personalised online learning with the care, encouragement, Christian discipleship, and face-to-face support that are central to a KingsGate education. Our goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, spiritually, and personally through a pathway that best meets their individual learning needs.
