Through our partnership with Te Kura, students can access a wider range of NCEA subjects and learning opportunities while remaining fully connected to the KingsGate community.

Te Kura can form an important part of a student's NCEA journey by providing access to specialist subjects that may not be available within the school's timetable. This allows students to build a programme that reflects their interests, strengths, and future goals while continuing to work towards NCEA qualifications. Students may also use Te Kura courses to complement their existing studies, maintain subject pathways, or explore areas that support tertiary study and career aspirations.

Importantly, Te Kura is not a separate pathway from KingsGate; it is a partnership that expands opportunities for students. KingsGate staff work closely with students, families, and Te Kura teachers to ensure learning programmes remain aligned with each student's academic goals and NCEA requirements.
