Policy Statement
The staff board member fulfils the legislative requirements for School Board composition. The role of the staff board member is to bring a staff perspective to the School Board's decision-making and discussions.
As a board member, the staff trustee has an obligation to serve the broader interests of the school and its students and has an equal voice, vote, standing, and accountability as all other board members.

Purpose
To ensure that board members clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
