Sun Smart Expectations

• Years 1-6: The KingsGate bucket hat is required to be worn for Terms 1 and 4.
• High School: Hats are recommended for students to wear when they are outside during Terms 1 and 4
• Students are allowed to wear sunglasses while outside as part of self-managing slip, slop, slap and wrap. Sunglasses brought to school are at your own risk. 

Being SunSmart helps protect your skin and eyes from harmful UV rays. Students are encouraged to take personal responsibility by wearing suitable sun protection, seeking shade when possible, and remembering to slip, slop, slap and wrap whenever they are outdoors.
