Non-Uniform Days Expectations

On casual dress days, students are required to dress in a manner that:

• Maintains a Respectful Learning Environment:  Clothing must be appropriate for a school setting, ensuring that all students feel comfortable and able to focus on learning.
• Prioritises Safety and Practicality:  Footwear and clothing should be suitable for school activities, including physical movement and participation in scheduled lessons.
• Reflects KingsGate School Values: Clothing should align with the school's Christian ethos and the SERVE values (Strength, Empathy, Respect, Vision, and Endurance).

Acceptable Attire:

• Tops, shirts, and dresses should have appropriate coverage (e.g., no offensive language, images, or revealing designs)
• Bottoms should be a reasonable length (e.g., no excessively short shorts)
• Footwear should be appropriate for the day's activities (e.g., closed-toe shoes for science labs, PE-friendly shoes if applicable)
• Hats or head coverings may be worn outdoors for sun protection, except where required to be removed indoors as a matter of courtesy

Prohibited Attire:

• Clothing with offensive, inappropriate, or discriminatory language, symbols, or imagery (including references to violence, drugs, or alcohol)
• Items that compromise health and safety (e.g., hazardous footwear, excessively loose clothing that could pose a risk in practical subjects)
• Clothing that undermines the school's inclusive and respectful environment
