Kohekohe - Administration

The Kohekohe Team serves as the heart of KingsGate School's daily operations. Comprising the Principal, Head of Primary, Head of High School, Head of Learning Support, Associate Principal, Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Custodian, and Office Assistant, this team supports every aspect of school life and interacts with students, staff, parents, and visitors each day.

As the people most likely to connect with every member of our community, we seek to reflect Christ's character in all we do. Whether welcoming visitors, supporting students, assisting families, caring for our facilities, or providing leadership and guidance, our aim is to demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We believe that every interaction is an opportunity to serve others and point them towards Christ.

The Kohekohe tree was chosen as the symbol for this team because it is known for its ability to thrive beneath the forest canopy while contributing to the health and strength of the wider ecosystem. Although it may not always be the most prominent tree in the forest, it plays an important role in supporting and sustaining the life around it. In the same way, the Kohekohe Team works behind the scenes and alongside others to ensure that every part of KingsGate School flourishes. Through service, stewardship, and leadership, we seek to create an environment where students and staff can grow, learn, and thrive in Christ.
