Mission Statement

The school's mission statement:

"To be a Christian community of learning that nurtures young people towards their full
potential as servant leaders in the kingdom of God."

The school promotes its mission statement by:

  • Creating an environment where a sincere desire to know God is fostered and where every student and parent may come, of their own free will to know, to love and to serve the Lord.
  • Enabling students to personally adopt a Biblical Christian worldview in knowledge, understanding and life applications.
  • Recognising that parents, in partnership with the school need to involved in and are responsible for their children's education.
  • Supporting and strengthening parents in their primary responsibility for their children's education.
  • Encouraging every student to recognise their unique value and worth in the eyes of God.
  • Encouraging students to view their education as preparation for fulfilling God's purpose in their lives.
  • Encouraging students to commit to a life of service for God, ready to both serve and lead as responsible members of their family and community.
  • Providing equal learning opportunities for students from all socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Fostering character, wisdom and knowledge by means of the curriculum and school culture.
  • Teaching a thematic approach based on the character of God wherever appropriate.
  • Using teaching and learning strategies that challenge students to achieve their individual potential.
  • Employing qualified staff who have a genuine commitment to Jesus Christ and who model a Christian lifestyle.

The school's educational goal:

"A student leaving KingsGate School at the end of Year 8, having been at the school for
at least three years, will be achieving at or above the national norms in the core areas of
